I would trade my ITR for a brand new or similar year FD RX-7. But those only exist in Japan so ITR FOR LIFE!

 

I think both the rx8 and 350z look like good cars on paper. Don't they both start at about $26k too??

 

were the Rx-7 R1's sold in the US? How many were made? I heard they make an awesome track car....

I like MazDUH FD RX7 and early Miatas.

 

yup, 93 and 94 (I believe 94, may be wrong though). In 95 they had the R2, same thing as r1 AFAIK. no clue as to numbers or anything.

 

 

haha i read mags that said the reason why they didnt bring rx-7 r2 was because most people in north america "cant fit in the car" since that car is so small for them

 

but the US did get the R2, in 95

 

r2 is not as stiffer as r1 owners cried due to stiff suspension.

also, I believe r2 got more luxury items as American people cried about lack of features. wtf?

 

The RX-8 is nasty lookin.

haha, they said they would get at "LEAST' 280 hp for the 350z now they retracted it and said it's going to have 260hp, thats only 5 more hp then the maxima and it has the same engian too so what did they do for the 350z? added a freaking k&n filter and called it a day!!! hahaha

 

The RX-8 is ugly.

 

the RX-8 looks rear ended from the factory, and they dont bother to replace the tail lights

I'm not to thrilled with the RX-8.

Now the new Z car OTOH, well let me put it this way: SCHWING!

 

so is there such as thing as a "sports car" in the US market now? Sure there's the exotics, but other than that cars like the TypeR are a dying breed to cushy suspensions and climate control systems.

 

New Cobra is the closest thing i can think of....Z06 i guess, thats about it for less than 50k
