need opinions of people who have had experience with these pistons... are these simply coated oem pistons? are these rings any good compared to an oem ring?

ummmm you should do more search, i had them on my hand in comparison with the oem h22a ones and you can tell the difference. my friend also used them nippon (same brand as the ones on your link) pistons on a lsv and it runs great with no problems.

i am saying they are good to use, from what he showed me, they have a flatter surface on the top which raises the cr. also the rings/ringlands looked pretty much the same as the ones on the stock p13 pistons. he will be putting them on his built h22 so i have no reason to believe they arent good at all. they (nippon pistons) were also put in a 11 sec lsv with nos. that car runs good with no problems up to date.

so a flatter surface raises compression now ?

Dome size, Combustion chamber volume, compression height, gasket thickness and cylinder volume affect CR. Im sure there are other ways to alter CR that im forgetting but a flatter surface in itself does not increase compression ratio. Do not post if you dont know what your talking about.

And Ive also been wondering the same thing about those nippon pistons.

well, i started this post because i was looking for oem oversize type s pistons (which they don't make anymore) and was curious about these pistons

i actually found a set of oversize oem pistons luckily, so i won't be ordering these anymore

but if someone has had first hand experience with these pistons it will definetely help others who might be looking into buying these pistons.... i'm sure there will be more and more H series guys buying these pistons due to the fact that honda stoppped making type s oversize pistons....
