Default quaife says there is no atb lsd for the zc l3 trans with 27 spline

waiting on answer from mugan. phantom is out and nobody has any zc lsd trannies . over 1200.00 for a lsd is to much for a car that gets driven two days a week at that. sounds good but not now i guess. new head sounds better. my si trans has over 180,000 on it and grinds in second. maybe zc-si hybrid trans or i just run it as is and save the money and keep looking. phantom sounded a little dodgy. so thanks this has been the most help that i have received on this site. anybody no anything about willwood 11" 4 piston front brakeset? The k car was **** but saved dodge. Whether or not this is a good thing, look what they did to the mercedes sprinter. what about but budvar and chechvar>stella 5%>4% just kidding stella isnt bad

Just use the regular LSD, change the axles and axle seals, done. I'm using an L3 case with the 90-95 d-series OBX LSD, Si axle seals and axles.

why, so you can have a weaker, used differential, and a rare axle that is inconvenient to replace?

The halfshaft axle set-up does have some advantages over the long/short axle set-up, (ie: less torque steer) but all of these advantages don't matter when you have LSD.

OBX LSD w/ regular USDM axles will be cheaper, stronger, and easier.

i have considered that set up also. my si trans has seen better days. what does a good used si L3 go for? i think it will need more than syncros than again i have never rebuilt a tranny or had one rebuilt before. I also sold my si axles years ago, and had marty at raxles make me axles for the zc. I think rebuilds are worthless. Thanks though you have made the most sense so far. There is no cheap easy way around this. I had to sell my scirocco 16v tranny for 50 bucks on craigslist. So i guess deals are around. I can fly to europe for cheaper price than buying a used 50mm intake manifold for the same car. So i guess i cant complain about honda parts being expensive. The obx has been good to you?

obx is a copy of quaiffe, they've revised it about 3 times, and it's gotten better each time. the newest ones have no problems.

I always recommend OBX LSD's. I would use the ZC/L3 trans with a 4.25 final drive, I had that in my CRX, it was great (although I used the Si .771 5th gear.)

thanks, i have to much time on my hands. Once i start driving the thing in the spring i will forget about all these tranny woes. Besides the zc is already in the car. I will however save my si trans and do something with them later on i guess. Its pretty quick for a zc though. My friend just got a new 335i. Not that quick but i'd still run him on a backroad.
