So I'm on the fence trying to decide whether or not to get a Carbon Fiber Hatch door for my '96 Civic Hatchback. I've just been going back and forth trying to decide. I like the look at times, and then sometimes it just doesn't seem to be my thing. I guess it depends on the cars I've been seeing them on. Sometimes they don't flow with the rest of the car.

My hatch is silver. I can't make up my mind if a CF hatch looks good or not. Do you guys think its tacky or stylish?

As it is, I have a CF hood and Spoon Wing and those wo parts seem to flow very well with the rest of the car. But will a CF hatch send it over the edge?

One of my main concerns is if an after-market CF hatch takes all of the OEM parts such as the latch, glass, harness, and plastic interior panels?

Anyone have experience with a CF hatch for a 96-00 Civic HB?

What companies produce CF hatch doors for the EK Hatch? I know of Seibon, BackYard Special ($$$), and VIS. Any others?

Right now I'm leaning towards the Seibon piece. How well are Seibon CF parts built?

I figure if I don't like the CF look, I could always paint it.

 

i hate them. i just hate the way CF throws off the simple looks of a car. plus sometimes people go a little overboard on CF.

i have one, on a silver hatch, with the stock glass installed

 

how did you install the rear glass does it bolt on or do you have to modifie it

 

Depends on the color and what else is done to the car. Not really a fan of them on hatchbacks but I do like them on some coupes.

 

i like the look and would say go for it...but its your car so do what YOU want!

 

it depends on the other mods to the car. in some cases it helps the cars looks and in other cases it takes away from the cars cleanness

 

i'll say yes for it ... but only if it real carbon fibre ...
