Default crx project

i have this on a few sites so i thought i might as well stick it up here

Here are the car as I bought it

I bought a crx that was past fixing the last year, this was my donor car,

First of all my plan is to keep my jdm bumpers and add a j’s racing lip and some rear lip on it,

I have the engine dropped out of it

sorry about being craply written
more updates soonbt

I have got my wiring loom in put in to the inside of the car and ready to connect up to the engine,

The fuel tank has been changed to let the car have fuel injection on the 16v engine by have a fuel pump in the tank

I have never seen two cars that are suppose to be the same as different as my two crx I have had to cut two brackets out of the old crx and mounted them up in my new one

I have now put my air conditioning back in, i know most would take it out but i love it so im putting it back in, I know it reduces power and adds weigh,

I have also put my heater back in

My dash is ready to go back in and connect my clocks and heater controls and radio

crx have a problem were water go into the brake light and floods it and floods the boot, I discover a bit of rust but luckily I found it before it got bad, i have put silicone my lights to seal them, it has fixed all the light but one, I’m going to check what I can do to fix this

i have changed my brake servo to put disc all round

[IMG][/IMG]

here the new engine, should look and goo good after a clean and a service

the car has all ready being lowered, eventully im going to put adjustables on

the body has it issues after a attempted break in and a few little dents nothing to serious,

i also want to rehang the bumper

The jobs I have left to do
Finish of the dash
Change timing belt
Clean engine bay
Put in engine
Service engine
Fix up the body

i what to get it dont cause i want to put it in a classic car show

i have the inteorir in and the shell is ready for the engine, i just want to tidy up the engine and clean up the body

this is my cleaning of the engine mount

here it is at the start

at the priming stage

1st coat

finished and re built

started to clean my engine, no point of having a good looking car wit a manky engine

here it was like when i started

here is one side that i have nearly done, just need to get at the little spaces. it was very grimey

heres my intake

if you have to clean a engine go to lidl and get this it is brillant

the engine is finish being cleaned and i am putting the brackets back on to it, except the rocker cover which i will paint when the engine is put it

hey all

got the timing belt in yesturday and am just need a engine lift and it can be put in,

the engine now all back together

got the engine in the bay today, it doesnt run yet cause its still needs things connected up like a wire run down to the fuel pump

heres the pics

my refurbed starter

bits i got for it

my backbox

my laguna splitter

rocker cover

after

on the engine

have the drive shafts in,

radiator in, wasnt happy with the rocker cover so stripped down and have primered

the bigger brakes discs are on, no pic yet

the exhaust is fully on,

a little vid of it running

a running video

got my fans working yesturday and fitted my splitter

Car is coming along good....

Also, for all you non believers, this is the 1.5X, notice how it has the same from end (stock) as the SIR...ha ha
One big difference is that this is the car that has the from rad T bar that can be installed on a US car without modification for people with this front end!!
