top hat bushing for Koni Yellows
I picked up some used Koni Yellows for my civic. I just tried to install the rears and then I realized that the shaft on the shock does not fit into the bushing on my top hats. What do I need to do/buy?
The Koni shaft has a larger diameter than the factory shocks. You need the larger metal collar that fits in the rubber bushings.

New Koni's come with this collar, so whoever you bought them from didn't give them to you. Did you just buy the rears or did you get all four and you had the proper collars for the fronts?

I had this same issue and ran ALL OVER TOWN trying to find something else that would work - long and short of it is that despite my best efforts, I could not find anything that fit properly (I tried calling hardware stores, speed shops, dealers, pipe fitting places, and even stopped at a few machine shops to see if they had anything the right size or could hone out a slightly larger one)......at the end of my exercise, I ordered them from KONI and got exactly what I needed.
Cliff Notes: Just call KONI now and order the kit and save yourself some time.
Good luck.
