I see alot of people do the JDM CRX front end conversion but I was wondering if the entire intake system(not just the airbox)was compatible with the USDM CRX chasis. This is something I haven't seen yet.
Is there a difference in the core supports(JDM vs USDM)? I know the T-bars are different and that the JDM t-bar has a cavity so that part of the intake system fits through it.
If anyone has done this I would like details on how you got it to work.
Thanks

as long as you have every part for the conversion.... especially the radiator/headlight support. you might have to remove the usdm bumper support, as the jdm models do not have one. everything should line up though

No it will not work
The main tube that goes to the front on the T bar will not fit under the headlight. If you look at the bottom picture you will see that where the bumper bolts to the frame it dips down. thats so it will clear under the headlight and bumper. In a USDM car it doesn't dip down at all
So no it will not work unless you have the right core support

Damn, you are right Zaakro.
That one little detail is what i was missing.
I really like the way the stock intake system is set up. I haven't had the chance to look at the USDM core support but do you think the "dip" can be cut instead of replacing the whole core support?
Thanks for those pics. A big help!
