I bought a acura TL rear view mirror with OnStar and the auto dim... from some one in canada, got it yesterday and the back has a big hole for a wiring harness....anyone know how that works? i really dont care if OnStar works just the Auto Dim...thanks.

 

there is a on off button on the bottom part of the mirror. when the auto dim is on a green LED will illuminate.

what about the wiring harness on the back, i looked at a USDM one and its totaly diff...ill take a few pics of it

why dont you just buy an aftermarket one. I forgot what website it was, but they sell rear view mirrors with autodimmers, digital compass, and temp. You can choose whatever you want. I believe they start at $100 and up

all u do is find the positive and the negative input on the harness. that will just turn on ur auto din

i have a similar question. i have that auto dim as well and i noticed that there are 2 green lights. but one of the lights arent working. so i'm thinking "oh crap i broke it". and if i didn't break it, then what does the other light on the left side of the mirror mean if it's not lit?

it cant be for a TL. Correct me if im wrong, but Onstar is only offered for GM vehicles

Acura Did offer Onstar on some cars but had a dispute with Onstar
