My rear wiper in my hatch quit working so I picked up a plug for the hole and removed the wiper assembly. I thought that the little threaded portion on the end of the wiper motor was stripped causing it not to work, so I sourced another wiper motor and arm in the mean time.
I then plugged up the new motor and tried it out: nothing. Not only that, but now my rear defroster does not work.
My question: Does disconnecting the rear wiper motor disarm the defrost? Should I be looking for wiring issues? Maybe a fuse?

my guess is the icu (integrated controll unit) it controlls the rear defrosted and wipers. its located on the back of the fuse box under the dash.
btw I was having problems with my intermittent wipers and the ICU, I thought I needed a new one but it looked okay inside. so I plugged it back in, and it all worked again. to open the icu up just press in the 4 tabs then pull the top off. inspect the curcuit board for burns and damage, and either replace or repair.
heres a link to some icu info for integra's , which is good reference for the efs too, as they are very similar. http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127170
good luck
