Ok, so i blew my crx si tranny last week, and yesterday, i went out, started tearing it apart. I had picked up tranny from a local junkyard, out of a 91 civic, and i have a 91 civic dx with a d15b7 block/d16y8 head...anyway, so we finally got the new tranny in this morning, only to realize that the clutch bracket on the tranny has no spring...which i know is bad thing, it doensnt even seem like its engaging...so is my only/easiest option just going to be getting ANOTHER tranny? Or is there another option?

what clutch bracket? as far as i know they dont use a spring. are u talkin about the release for in the trans ? or the cable that pulls it up when u press the pedal? the tighter u adjust that nut on the cable the more press the clutch will have. maybe u left yours too loose.

 

Problem was solved...theres a spring that holds the throw out bearing in and out in the tranny, it was snapped. Lock the thread please.
