Hi

Is there 2 version of Accord 94-95 and 96-97, what are the difference is one better than the other and which one do you prefer?

I have a 95 accord and I keep seeing this other accord with diff. bumper can I convert mine to that, will it be straight fit or I have to modify it?

I know there were three versions of 94-95, not sure about 96 and 97.

There were DX, LX, and EX versions. The DX was the economy model, very basic. The LX had a few more options: power locks, windows, A/C, etc. The EX was top-of-the-line. More powerful engine (145 hp w/ V-Tech vs. 130 hp.) along with nicer rims, sunroof, etc.

I still have a 94 EX I purchased brand new. Now has 226,xxx with some issues, but has been relatively trouble-free until recently. ABS did go out at about 65,xxx and at $1200 quoted to fix, it is still out. Other than that, great fun car.

 

thats not what he was asking... he was asking if there were two versions of the Accord between the years of 94 and 97.

yes, the 94-95 and 96-97 Accords are different in body style and thats it. Same basic features and performance, just slightly different body style. And the 94-95 is OBD1 while the 96-97 is OBD2.

The differences...
front grill
front lip
front bumper (I think)
rear taillights
rear bumper
rear lip
trunk lid

If you do some Google Image searches on the different years you'll find pictures to see the differences I've listed.

I'm not completely sure what it is you are looking to do some I'm not sure if it will require modification or not.

 

I like the look 96-97 better, I'm trying to make my 95 look like a 96. I just want to change the front and rear bumpers.

Do anyone know if this will be a direct fit or do I have to modify it?

 

front you can change and there's no diff


rear you can't due to the shape of the bumper/trunk/tails/quarters
