H23 Manual Tensioner on H22A
Ok, so I just got done installing my new OEM water pump, timing belt and the H23 manual tensioner conversion but my question is...
Did anyone else notice how ridiculously tight the H22 timing belt is on that setup?
Is that common?
It took myself and another person just to get the damn thing on.
I used all new Honda OEM parts, I guess they don't mention it being a snug fit in the How-to.

its a very snug fit. I put the timing belt on when i am putting the cams in. That way you can angle the cam up and easily slide the timing belt over it and accurately.

Are you guys pulling up on the tensioner through the little slot? I always have to bend a coat hanger into there and pull up to get some extra tension.
That little arm coming off the left side of the tensioner:

I installed the little 'L' shaped bracket where the auto tensioner use to be, it's a pretty useful peice to have so the tensioner will stay down while trying to put on the timing belt.
I noticed you didn't have it on in the picture, or do you mean pulling up on the tensioner while tightening the 14mm nut on the end of the assembly?

That was just a random pic off the interweb, but yes I mean pulling up on that and tightening the bolt so you can have more play to use when installing the t-belt.
