06 si built k20/turbo need help!!!
I've had a built/turbo k20a2 in my old 02 civic and i'm buying another motor to put in my 02 so i can sell it and get a 06 civic si. I was looking to put the k20a2/turbo setup in the new si. does anyone have any information on problems with doing this?
I kno technically the motor has to be the same year or newer than the car it's going in.
but other than that has anyone done anything like this before?
Anyone know anything about hondata k-pro for the new si? i've seen the reflash. I've got a prb ecu w/kpro. anyone know if this will work with the si?
Really any information would help me out.
also does anyone know if a fullrace style manifold will work on the new si? a manifold that puts the turbo over the transmission. or do you have to use one of the bottom mount manifolds?
if there's not much information out there yet then i'll just get a rsx instead. just wanted to see if anyone knew anything that might help me out.
Thanks in advance.

RSX is probably a better idea.
k20z3 uses DBW throttle and MAF
k20a2 uses cable throttle and map
kpro doesn't work for the new si's. eliminating the maf and dbw makes the dash/speedo not work on the new si's.

that makes sense. i was thinking about the dbw after i posted the topic and did some research. i talked to a guy and came to the conclusion that i could use the z3 tb and manifold if i had to so i wouldn't have a problem the dbw.
the only problem would be tuning it. and since hondata doesn't have any apps for the z3 yet, thats a major downfall for me. i dont have much faith in the e-manage or pretty much anything else used to tune honda's other than hondata.
i would really like to do the new si just because there's not hardly any i've seen or heard of that are putting down good numbers yet. maybe wrong but havn't seen nor heard anything over 380hp.
thanks for the insight.

thats cool man. ive heard people wern't having the best luck with those fic's. and if you did have a kpro ecu out for the si then you wouldn't have a problem passing emissions. with the fic you may have some problems with emission related stuff. but thanks for the input man. i'll look into it.
Don't you still have a warranty on that car anyways? You'd void it almost right away if you did that, but if you're not worried about that good luck and I'm kinda curious to see how it turns out. I hope for the best.
