Default My project! 91 honda civic si

Update 2/15/08, the project is on hold right now due to money problems.

UPDATE: pics on page 2, 3, 4

hello all!

this is my current project. i just rented a storage for this car, it a 20x20 and it good enough, alots of room as well!

Small history on this car:
I 1st got this car back in June, i traded my dc4 integra for this car straight up. It runs good, it has a b18a1 swap in it, clean interior, about 150k on the body and only 3k on the swap. For a month when i had it on the road, this one night i was on the way back home around 3am, it was foggy too. I hit a large animal which turn out to be a expletiveing cow! A 500lbs cow standing in the middle of the road and i slap it. My car killed the cow though, hit him in the neck where my piller is and his head smashed my roof.

Here's a picture of it next day when it happened....

I dont have pictures of it stripped down and the repairs of the roof and some body work. I stop working on it since July 2007 and let it sit there with bunch of covers.

Until today! i finally got off my *** and looked for a nice storage building, so i can continue working on this car.

this is how she sits as of today around this afternoon.

more to come! I planning to do a fully restored ef si hatchback.

here what i did tonight, i didnt do much tonight. i took off the doors, tail lights and small misc stuff. i spent most of the time moving stuff around and cleaning a little bit.
on to the pictures...

It doesnt look that bad, the roof can be fixed and if you get a new fender, new mirror and windshield, then it will look like new.......

nice project, what are your plans for it ?

well my main concern right now is get the body work done, maybe shave the engine bay, and get it all painted inside and out. I'm still debating over which front end i should go with, the jdm front end or a zc front end.

So will the storage place let you work on the car there?
I never thought of something like this...

yes sir! this lady land lord was really nice about it after i told her the truth what i was planning on doing, she she was cool with it as long i don't damage anything. Tonight i'm about to go over there and clean/ move around some stuff and then unbolt some body parts off the car such as doors, hatch and misc.

Okay? Please just update it, these useless bumps will get deleted. They are not needed. Thanks

Looks like a great project.

It really depends on the area. I rent a 10x20 for ~$90/mo, but with 10mo up front, I get 2 free. I've seen heated/electrified ones go for a bit more, and some bigger spaces go for less.

update.

tonight i went out to work on it some, i didnt get much done today. i sanded down the driver side door jamb, etch prime where the door hinge was, sanded down the whole rear panel and prime it as well.

this roof is a pita to get it striaght, this is the best i can get so far. hopefully after this last skim of coat i'll be set and prime. then i gonna find me a trim for the front window to test it out to see if it perfect straight or what not.

the roof where the damage was..

thought this was cool shot...

more to come...

if anybody could tell me what the best method cleaning up the wheel wells? i want to remove the old under body coating in the wheel wells and put a new coat of it. wire wheel on a drill does the trick?

Damn thats freaking wierd. My old SI was the exact same color, lowered on SI's, had amber corners and a b18a swap.
Where did you get this car from? I traded it off to a kid for a jeep cherokee, he blew the trans in it and sold it to some guy.. Last I heard of it.
