Default Passenger Door Handle Broken?

'93 Del Sol SI.
When it first started happening, the door would open from the outside, but not the inside. After a while, the door now will not open at all. (Manual lock, not automatic.)

I've been told to take off the door panel on the inside and I can fix it, but it seems like the bolts are behind the dash, and if the door won't open, it's basically impossible to take the door panel off.

On the driver's side, the little light next to the door handle is missing, so I'm assuming this happened once previously and that was the fix for it. Could I get to it that way? And if so, what do I do then?

As cool as it is to make my passengers revive an episode of Dukes of Hazard every time they ride with me, I'm getting tired of clumsy people getting mud on my passenger seat.

it might be the plastic clip behind the handle. check to see if the hook is still connected to the clip.

like he said^^^ try to take the inside handle off and see if you can pull the rod with your fingers or a pair of pliers to get it open then go from there.
