EF'n rant (2008 losing it thread, early midlife crisis?)
Ok, if you dont want to read fine, the pictures will do something of a story for you.
Story is, I am 32 years old and pretty sure I have lost it.
sold this (regret) and went into a spiral.

then built and sold this (was fun, but not an ek guy)

also had these cars somewhere in there

Then I sold all the Honda stuff, and decided wrx wagon would be the best car ever.

It was fun and all, but not a Honda. soooo.......... bought these

I also sold my wife's Element, and bought a suburban, and just the other day bought a 26' travel trailer to take my 2 great kids camping, more pix coming.
I am all over the place and pretty sure that is what is keeping me going.

those all put together = fun. thanx for taking my rant.

didnt really want to get into details on me "losing it" that would belong in the GDD.
so I will just stick to my random buying things and wasting alot of money to keep me sane and off pills.

Oh snap! You were the one who bought it? What happened to the parts that were on this car?
Seems like you don't know what you want, or you just can't seem to be pleased with what you have. I suggest sitting down, thinking about it long and hard and deciding on what you want to build. Do EK's do it for you? Or are you still an EF guy at heart? Can you support having a project and not cut down on family time because maybe your kids need you more?
Once you get this figured out, and say you go for an EF hypothetically, don't rush into the project by ordering up everything you want at the time and slapping it on. Instead take your time with the build and do you month by month, week by week. It will help you appreciate your car more.
I'm not sure if you're after show or function, but there are plenty of threads on this forum to give you ideas on what you can dow ith your car. From How-to-paint your car with a roller threads, to how to build the most amazing engine bay thread. You can kind how to swap a K motor, and there are plenty of users here to support you and help you with your build. Just remember one thing, you're building this car for yourself. If you build it to impress others, you will never be satisfied.
Good luck with your build, I hope everything goes well for you!

hold on guys, I dont own all these cars, these are cars I have owned.
current cars that I own are
1. 1992 rs teggy (daily)
2. 1993 civic hatch (project)
3. 2000 civic hatch (swap donor)
4. 1999 chevy burb (tow the rv so can camp with kids)
5. travel trailer? not sure if that counts
6. current wrx wagon, but guy is picking it up on monday.
I have deff. been spending a ton of time with the kids, cant get enuf of them.
basically saying I need a "project" civic to keep me from going insane, so that is why the eg build will be full on.
as far as ordering a ton of parts all at once, I am a product of gran tourismo I guess, just feel like I am playing that game when building a car.

your suffering from the winter blues man. i am too hardcore today was the first time i looked at the hatch in months dude. its gutted ready for paint on the inside. spring is right around the corner so is the wmhm,.
Yo bud, i have been a fan of your EF from a long time ago. Looks sick as do the rest of the projects.
Love the wagovans
As for losing your mind and having a crazy amount of projects, dont worry i think it comes with the territory sometimes. The addiction only becomes a problem if you dont have a single car that runs reliably and you cant get to work. I have two project cars and a daily, and it is overwhelming at times. Keep your head down and keep on working on them
why are you getting rid of the wrx wagon? I too have thought they would be a badass end all car for me.
also what happned to the midori integra? I remeber your paint threads but never saw it assembled?
