question to all of u jdm frontend conversion guys
I was wondering if what I heard was true about useing a jdm front bumper on a usdm body, the other question was the zc hood on a usdm car.....
Was just wondering

Well, what exactly did you hear about using a jdm front bumper on a usdm body?
-that it'll work or that it won't?
I'll save us both some time....it CAN be done.
As for the zc hood...I'm not %100 positive but logically, it seems doable

FROM ME! HAHAH. anyways, of course the zc hood fits. the jdm 90-91 crx fronts need the hood front bumper headlights radiator support..
Don't put a JDM front bumper on a USDM front end...it looks like crap IMO...it does not fit the USDM front end properly.
Some will do it and think its the best thing since sliced bread because they have something different.
Bottom line is:
Its been done...it is nothing new...and it looks like crap
The ZC hood will work fine with the USDM front end

Cool beans.... What makes the front bumper look like crap? I know the jdm front ends don't have a bumper support bar, and if I do deside to do this, how would I hang the front bumper?
Or should I just buy the hole front end. Thats probley best, just answered my own question... LOL

now, if I do deside to put this frontend on, how do I hang the front bumper on without the bumper support?
jdm front sticks out about a half a inch further then the US front end.
If you use a EF9/EF3/EF2 SiR style front bumper the top portion of the bumper will patrude out a lil further then the front filler piece. You won't see a body gap as far as air space but you will see the bumper line where the screws connect the front bumper to the support.

I wanta do this but I don't want it to look like ***. Also, I wrecked up my front end so I'm wondering when and if I do this. Im guessing all I need for my front end fix is the t support bar, the jdm filler piece, the jdm front bumper and ac hood.
I don't notice much of a difference in the headlight or fenders, thats why I'm trying to do this without shelling out the 900 for the complete front end unless you guys are saying it looks that bad and to just the complete frontend
And thanks to ya for help in stressful time for me..... Lol

Exactly!
Thanks Vega for posting those pics.....
See how the front end protrudes out and you can see the screws? That is straight nasty! LOL!
Do the whole front end conversion. I ran mine without the support...only because my hatch was for road racing and weight was a big concern. If you are gonna hit the streets be patient and try to find a full front clip so that you can get everything you need. They are out there. trust me!
Exactly!

if you are trying not to shell out money all you need is
EF9/3/2 Hood
EF9/3/2 headlights
EF9/3/2 filler piece
EF9/3/2 front bumper (9 times out of 10 it will have the bumper support unless outherwise stated)
you can use your usdm T-bar but you would need to get longer bolts and add metal washers to the middle to space out the T0bar to compinsate for the 1/2 inch the JDM front end sticks out in comparison to the USDM one. That was is not always safe and as secure as using a EF3/2 Filler piece. but its a option if you can't find one @ the moment.
You don't need jdm fenders or side lights
