whats up i searched a bit but didnt find what i was looking for.....i have a 1994 b16a3 del sol and i bought an AEM short ram intake for it for a 99-00 civic si...the problem is that the intake seems to have one extra hole for a sensor or something that my b16 doesnt have....which AEM would fit or what other intakes are you guys using?? im sick of driving around with a ghetto plug i put in it haha thanks....

 

ps the reason i bought the 99-00 si intake is because i figured it was the same motor

 

The '99-'00 Civic Si has the B16A2. The '96-'97 del Sol VTEC has the B16A2 also.

The '94-'95 del Sol VTEC has the B16A3 though.

I'm not entirely clear on all the differences between the two.

 

yea there must be an extra sensor or plug or something on the b16a2..........anybody know which intake to get?? will the normal del sol si intake fit?

 

almost all aftermarket intakes come with the extra hole for the Mass air flow sensor (obd2) I just have electrical tape coving mine looks fine lol

 

there are no mass airflow sensors on obd2 hondas, the extra hole is for the breather in the valve cover, if you don't want to have a ghetto plug, run a hose from the hole on the intake to the fitting on the valve cover. The best all around intake for a b16 del sol in my opinion is the carbon fiber whale dick...

thanks and its pretty cheap also!!! so even if i got a 92-95 del sol si aem intake it will still have the ghetto hole? lol maybe ill try the tube idea thanks!!
