Default Falken RT615 vs. Nitto NT-01

Tell me about those two tires. These will be strictly used for the track. Which of them is better overall (treadlife, grip, etc.).

The NT-01 is a true R compound track tire. The RT-615 is a street tire - a supersticky street tire that can be used on the track as well as the street. So the NT-01 offers a higher level of performance, but wears out quicker.

If you have a fair amount of track experience - say, 6-10 events - then by all means go with the R comps (NT-01). If you don't, then I suggest you just use whatever tires happen to be on your car for your first half dozen events. You won't be using all their capabilities anyway.

I see. So the 35 buck price difference is warranted. Heh. Can anyone compare the levels of grip. IE the RT-615 is an 8 while the NT-01 is a 10. Something like that?

they are two different types of compounds. the tires really aren't compareable because they are in two different classes. Compare the advan a032r or the a048r to the nitto nt-01
