I'd like some input
Ok, I've been a Honda fan before i began driving. All cars i've owned were hondas, i even had my GF of 3 years buy an 07 Si because i loved it so much. she didn't want to but, i convinced her and now she is just as much a honda nut as i am...i'm in a 07 350z...honestly, its great, ok fast for the money, but gas is a bitch, maintenance is a bitch, and resale is not honda, and i'm getting ready for an LA commute for school so these are factors i'm considering haha...i have the option to trade it in now and get an Si my payments will be the same because of the neg. deficit but thats not stopping me...i would just like some feedback from the Honda-tech biased thread of 06-current haha
so my questions are, how long have you had your Si for? do you enjoy it still? what are some downsides? and am i crazy to trade in an 07 350z for one? thanks alot in advance

get the SI! I was at the BMW dealer today looking at a 335i. the salesman that I was talking to auto X's his 335i, he also is a driving instructor at the track. we went for a ride in a 335i coupe. he pushed the car hard and was a very good driver. I must say that the 335 is a sweet car all around. when we get back he noticed my FA SI and was interested in the work I have done so I offered him a ride. he was a cool guy that could drive so I let him drive my si on the way back to the dealer. he was very impressed with the performance of my si, so much that he was going to Honda to take a look at the SI for daily driver. I think that says alot for the new Si's. I will be saving my pennies for a 335i but I wont get rid of my SI by anymeans. I have had my civic for over a year now and cant wait to drive it everyday.(it feels like the 1st time) good luck on your dilemma.

In general, trading a car that can't be more than about 18 months old is a bad idea, financially speaking.
However, if you're going to be doing a commute, I'm sure the Z is a bit of a gas hog, and I imagine the insurance isn't exactly cheap - so the savings in daily operating cost might somewhat balance out the financial bending-over that the Honda dealer will give you.
But, in the end, for many of us cars are a somewhat emotional purchase, or a hobby, so there can be more to the decision than finances. If you like the Si that much, go for it.
The 350Z is pretty kick-@$$ though.
