lol ouch. ive seen shells sell for more than 8. looks like it would be easy to return to stock condition. id probly pay 12 or 13 give or take, considering it passed the comp test well. although i havent really been following the prices of our cars lately, im assuming they havent dropped recently correct?
*edit* thats 12 or 13 with a confirmed clean title in hand.

let me put it this way, i think prices are still the same, but people are paying much less than asking price....

I agree with ^
11 sounds about right.
You know that with all the crap parts, and ricer stuff, the car hasn't been in the best of hands. Did they ever change the oil? You know, that kind of stuff. Obviously, if all they could afford were ebay coil sleeves, and a Magnaflow can on the stock pipe, they probably couldn't "afford" ANY of the preventative maintenance. I'd be skeptical.
but if you can snag it for 11, then whatever you have to fix, still makes it worth it.
Any more than that, and there are too many other good "clean" well taken care of R's for sale. Hell, bring that up, and maybe show him a couple that are for sale here in the forums. Maybe that will push him to be more willing to take your offer.

What makes it so hottt is because it's a different color yellow than the outside of the car.
Rice-a-rific!

If you haven't bought it yet, keep looking IMO.
That car looks worked with the cracked windshield, gutted front bumper cover and 'ebay coilovers'. You'll probably need new shocks with those gems.
Keep looking, you can get a higher mileage for a few grand more that hasn't been abused. Pay now or pay later...

8K at the most IMO.
If you really want to make it nice take the price of all the repairs, add in an extra 25-30% of that for unknown suprises, then calculate your time and energy and determine if it's worth it. Unless you don't value your time very highly I'm sure you'll find it cheaper to just get a nice car to begin with. Leave this one for someone who wants a track car and will be getting rid of all the crap that's wrong anyways.

I agree with everything Dave has to say, however i think 8K might be a bit low. The car is intact, runs and nothing is missing that would need to be purchased to actually have a complete car. Lots of love, and new paint yet, but everything is there. I personally wouldn't pay more than 9K, but i could easily see the car bringing 10-11K purchased by teh right ricer.
