but that doesnt make any sense ???its electrical not engine electrical.......... but ill try that
its definatly a short or ground issue. (most likely ground) i dont know where to look so i cant be of help to you that way. someone on here can though cause i have seen people go into detail on how to fix this sort of problem. when you checked the grounds, did you scrape the corrosion off or just look to see if it was connected?

Yeah i checked to see if it was connected bc it was working before ..........as for the parking lights, radio, and cig lighter works..........imma sand down the ground spots just to make sure they are grounded properly will let you guys know......thanx
All those items are on the same fusee That presumably means there's a short somewhere between the fuse box and any of those components (dash lights, dimming controller, taillights). Unfortunately, that's a lot of wiring and it could be anywhere, or even a bad switch. Unless you have any other symptoms (can you do anything to make the fuse blow, or is it totally random?) it's going to be tough to figure out. Bummer.
switches are good grounds are good my assumptions is either a short or im overloading the fuse bc when it was good for those ten minutes switches were working it was like everything works and then BAMM blew again so imma have to see whats going on damn my back is tired of crouching down under the dash in front of the seat if you know what im talking about. well ill let you guys know what up thanx for the help so far
did your friend do any electrical work on the car? if you want to find the short you can find all your wires from the front to the back by pulling the driver side carpet apart. it's the side carpet and not the foot carpet. there you will find all the wires that run from the front to the back. follow those wire to see if you have a burnt wire. I had the same issue and one of my wire was burnt. If you do find a burnt wire you will have to replace that whole wire. you will have to pull the driver side interior panel out so that you can see if any other wires are burnt. Lastly do you have water in your trunk? or is it possible for water to touch your tail light from the inside such as a rust in the quarter panel that allow water to get in the housing?
This is a longshot but I run into this all the time at work, mostly for trucks though. Does it have trailer wiring? Thats usually the culprit in a situation like this, but not a lot of people tow things with a civic.
Unless you added something to the circuit, it won't be overloaded. It's probably a short, which means you have to trace all the wiring until you find the problem. You said you looked over the taillight harness, but you'd also have to trace that wiring all the way back to the fuse box and through the dash. Pain in the ***.
well looks like imma have to pull everything out and look at each individuall wire........... sux but it has to be done hopefully i fix it and i could do a full interior wire tuck..............
