Default Amatuer polished transmission: From nasty back to life...56K No way

This is what it looked like when I pulled it out of the ED7.

This is what it looked like after cleaning it like crazy.

Now it looks like this mostly polished, this is very time consuming.

Enjoy, bad thing is now I have to do the motor...

That looks like a ton of work, but it came out great! Good luck with the rest of the motor.

Wow, lovely work. But its a daunting knowing that you have to do the whole thing over for the engine.

It was about 4-5 hours all together. Nothing else to do during the winter. Thanks for the comment.

The engine will be a pain, but maybe it will look good when it's all together.

It was, but I think it was worth it.

Still needs another hour or two.

Probably just clear spray paint would do the trick.

Im just guessing by looking at your tranny that you dont have a show car........... now that its clean why dont you just paint it?

Also I hope you are not polishing that using sand paper, look on the eastwood company web site they carry greassless compounds on there is you actually want to polish it

That is the stuff I am looking for. I have used sandpaper, grinders, anything that will work.

Paint looks good, I just like the polished look. It's a little deeper shine.
