NEW oem parts through honda?
so i talked to a guy at my local auth. honda dealership today but he was a dick and kind of acted evasive for whatever reason like he didn't know
basically i was wondering if honda dealerships sell NEW oem parts for a 98/bb6 prelude
mainly im looking to replace my door panels, door handles, some emblems and a handful of other misc. parts that are showing a decade's worth of wear
im not interested in buying now as i have no money i was just interested in the concept but if anyone has these parts in NEW or excellent condition for sale just PM me
JUST THOUGHT I WOULD THROW THAT OUT THERE

They still sell new parts for both of my 4th gen ludes, ('93 and '96) so i would assume they will sell new parts for your 5th. Just warning though, they will be OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. try and find stuff that's gently used, your wallet will thank you.
They sell most of it, as was siad, it can get very expensive though! A guy on preludepower just redid his 5th gen with new oem parts and paint etc, but he also worked for a honda dealer. Car came out amazing though, I know I got a ride in it when he came out to Colorado for one of our meets.
Search the honda-tech For Sale section if you want to look for used parts. New parts 30% savings, http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com .
In my experience, the only things worth getting from the dealer are the silly little things that only they have, like and emblem or the infamous Honda clips, (yes i know they're on ebay, but who wants to wait a week for clips to show up to save a couple bucks?)

if u mean that cardboard/Masonite thing under the carpet in the trunk u have got to be kidding me. u can get that material from home depot for like 10-20 bucks, and just cut it to fit honda price gouges the **** out of everything.

it's almost never worth it to get new parts from the dealer
most re manufactured parts are a lot cheaper and just as reliable, and a lot of aftermarket stuff is cheaper and better too.

mmm.... cheaper, yes... better..... probably not. Honda's OEM is tough to beat.

do you work for fox news? leaving out the important bits
i said a lot, not all
of course OEM honda parts are hard to beat, however if you're going to spend 2k on OEM honda wheels (made by enkei) vs. some Enkei wheels at half the price the cost-benefit ratio of the aftermarket part is definitely a better investment.

A lot of thing you do NOT want to buy aftermarket, however. I had my Fender liner get all messed up, so i bought a new one off of Ebay, and when i went to install it, i had half of it clipped on, and once i tried to put the next clip in, the first two broke and came firing out. It was WAYYY too small, and i'm told that's more often than not the case with aftermarket replacement parts like that.
