please help. cant stop oil leak.
i bought a 93 civic ex with a lot of leaks. i have managed to stop most of them, but there is one i cant stop. I noticed that oil was leaking from where the distributer connects to the engine. I pulled it out ans saw that the previous owner has put silicone to stop the leak. I noticed that the "O" rind was crusty so i replaced it with a new one. A lot of people told me that by replacing the "O" ring it would fix my leak. It looked like it worked but a couple of days ago it started leaking again. Has anybody had this problem before? Does anybody know how to fix it? if you do please help.
i havent had that problem but...since you already changed the o rings...that would have been my first thing to do...second...take off the valve cover and look at it from the inside...take your dizzy off to when you are doing it...see if theres something you can do...if not...then i have no clue...G/L
i took of the silenoid and cleaned it. i didnt have any signs that it was leaking. From what berings are you talking about?
