Quick Tech How to Question(Oil Change Light)
My Sister Just purchased a brand new 2007 CRV w/K24 motor. The first time she changed the oil on it, she had Wal-mart do it. After changing the oil the supervisor said he could not get the service/oil change light to go out on the dash. After an hour or so they finally figured it out but didnt want to tell us! WTF?! For all you D.I.Y out there, how do you reset the service light. I would like to change the oil for her next time and not charge her 60 bucks like wal-mart did!
All new and most used vehicles come with a marvelous little book called an owner's manual. It spells out quite nicely what all the little lights mean, how to reset them if necessary, and best of all, how to maintain the vehicle to get the most life and performance out of it.
Ha! yes, you are very amusing, thing is... i checked the owners manual, it simply says to refer to your Honda Dealer,"perhaps you work for them, yes?" So i took the liberty of purchasing a Helms. Only reason i ask such a 'simple question' is because another oil change is due before the book arrives, if your not going to offer reasonable advice, keep all wise cracks to yourself, purfectionalist, my bad perfectionist.
My advice is reasonable. Forgive me for assuming you overlooked the obvious solution of consulting your owner's manual. I do not own a 2007 vehicle, so I do not know what information is and what is not specifically offered to address your situation. In my experience, my manuals did for me.
