Yesterday my foot slipped off the clutch at a red light, and the car stalled out. I went to start it again but it wouldn't start, it just kept making the r-r-r-r sound. Someone had to jump start it for it to work. Why wouldn't my car start?

P.S. The battery is new, bought it just over a month ago. However, the car has stalled twice on its own within this time, both times it was cold out, however, I don't know if that's related. Thanks for any suggestions.

 

ok so if you had to jump start the car then im thinkin it your altenator... try checking on that...

 

Is all the electrical working? my buddy had the same problem and it ended up being the altenator as crxboy909 said..
