I recently put a 99 Si cd player in my 93 hatch. I wanted a stock cd player, and it lights up amber, matches the rest of my dash. I found it on Ebay for 100 bucks. If you pick one up, try to get the harness as well.
I'm running a 99 si cd player in my car and I love it. Just get a reverse harness and a aftermarket stereo harness and you'll be straight. Although, there is no way to bolt it in. So I have to take it out when I go to the track.
Word, i paid $20 for mine.

I thought about getting a newer Acura CD Player a while back for the old Integ I had...
Honestly, its not worth it, you're overpaying for not enough power. Just ask about it in the Audio forum and it'll get torn up.
For $100, you can just drop a few extra bucks and get an aftermarket headunit that puts out more power.
I don't blame you for getting a stock CD player though, I love the amber lightup. I just figure its too much money to spend for something thats stock...

well my reasons for wanting this head unit is because i really don't give a **** for flashy power full stereo's anymore,..i used to in high school, hell i even competed in audio competitions thats how involved i was...but anyways...
i want a 92-95 oem if possible to match up with the dash...
if not i will settle for a late model black in color honda cd player,
but one from the lower models NOT the Si/SiR models that light up
red/amber as the rest of my dash it lights up the original white.....
and herre it toronto i can pick one up for $100 which is pretty good deal,
since head units now a days cost in the $250-$1000 range...

There was an optional CD player offered for the 92-95 Civics from the dealer during the 94-95 model years. That's what is SUPPOSED to go in the blank slot of the optional audio console. The CD player came with a cable that connected to the stock tape player. If you look at the stock tape player on the 94-95 Civics, they incorporate controls for the CD player. The stock tape players in the 92-93 Civics are different and didn't have them.
