'97 Accord LXi in UAE - brake and suspension info needed
I plan to replace and upgrade struts, shocks, and brake pads this year - But I need some info - if possible. The car is in the UAE and has a F20 FI engine - not available (???) in Canada/USA. I am not sure what else differs from made for North America Accords....
That said, would the struts, shocks and brake pads be the same/different from the Accords in North America? I plan to get the parts in North America just before I return here.....
Thanks for any info.

in the world market Honda uses both NISSIN or AKABONE? brake calipers.
The pads are different, you could pull a pad out and make a tracing of it to carry with you to the parts store.
I'm 90% sure the struts will be all the same.

Thanks, but 90% isn't good enough - because I am in the middle east and cannot return parts that "don't fit" very easily.
I will do 3 things: First, I will remove the parts for replacement and note the numbers (if any) on them. Second, I will get the UAE stock numbers from the Honda dealer here. Third, I will approach parts suppliers here and get prices and parts numbers from them.
Then when I return with the correct parts (Inshallah) I can just do a 1-time bolt together and take the car for a FEA.
Thanks for your assistance. :-)

well if you're going to get the OEM Honda parts numbers you could then cross reference those to the US Accords and see what year they match, then you could go to the aftermarket sites and order the upgraded struts that match that US Accord. just a thought.
