98 accord maintenance light

98 accord maintenance light
recently, the maintenance light came on, and i took care of the main stuff myself, but i cant get the damn light to turn off....i tried the key in acc and held the odometer stick for 30 secs, but it didnt work....anyone know any other ways? TIA

1. press and hold trip odo reset button.
2. turn car on (position 2).
3. continue to hold button for 10 seconds and then let gol.
