Battery locations NOT IN TRUNK....
Ok I have searched around this site and everywhere else I know. But I cant find a pic or anything of someone mounting there battery under the dash. I don't want to put it in the trunk or back seat for the sake of all the wiring required. I would love to put it under the dash so its still close to the front of the car and its out of the engine bay to make a cleaner look. So does anyone have a idea for this? Cause I am gonna run a kill switch in the dash and one of the outside of the vechile but that is undecided as of now.
well i just want my engine bay to look cleaner and i dont know if i could mount my battery in that location. cause i am building a turbo motor and the FMIC piping wouldnt it run right into the battery mounted there? but i love that location that would save alot of mess. But I want it close to the front just not visible lol. Sorry I like clean engine bays.
if i keep the bathery located in the front close to the motor do i need a pull kill switch in the back? like this....

or just a kill switch inside?

it is required on all vechiles no matter what times you run or mph's u reach? cause i really dont want a rod sticking out of my back all the time. but maybe i am being a little to difficult LOL. thanks guys
some tracks dont hassle about it. you need a battery cut off if you have the battery mounted in the passenger area or if the car is running fast enough to require a cage (11.49) if im not mistaken.
well i dont know what my car will run cause it will be a clean drag car. its gonna have the interior but nothing over the top. i am caging it no matter if its required or not just to have it done. be safer than sorry lol. but if i can find a way to mount it in the front behind the bumper and not affect my turbo piping i wont worry about the pull rod in the back just mount a kill switch on my dash. cause honestly i would love to get below 11.49 BUT i am building a b16a and i dont know how i can achieve that with full interior and that motor. i say its possible but it will take alot of time to get it there. cause i have no idea what hp would be needed or how to get that high lol. Thanks everyone though

so if i leave it in the stock location i dont need the rear pull kill switch? sorry got a little confused.

i just read the rules and it said master cutoff isn't mandatory unless battery is relocated to the trunk or running 9.99 or quicker. but an electrical power cutoff switch is ended at the rearmost part of the vechile. so no matter which way i go i have to put in a push pull type of kill switch. well i am gonna start looking into this but hopefully i can make it not all that noticable lol. good luck i know LOL thanks guys
sorry something just hit me, does this have to be in any car that goes on a track? no matter if its competition or just fun? because i am sorry but i neglected to mention that this a weekend track car and something to just go out and go fast legally from time to time and have fun in. sorry just wondering. thanks
it does what it wants. i am powerless against it. it has been that way for 7 years now he hee. thats the same exh i put on back in 01 when i first turbo'd the car.
i appreciate the pics but do i really need that pull rod coming out of the car if i just go and run it at the track for fun? and don't compete?

If its an NHRA track, and the battery is relocated, then yes.
