IMSM is entering our 4th season and we are getting bigger and better each year. I hope that some of the sport compacts that are in the area will come out and comptete. I know there are many mid 12 and mid 11 second cars out there and we offer classes for those whoa are in that range. We also offer a mid 10 and a mid 9 second class for those who are in that range.

I hope that I will see more then just a few sport compacts out there this year, I dont know why those who have the cars to run with the v-8's just dont come out and show them what they are made of.

I want to thank BJ from Byron,Tazz from Cordova and Ray from GLD for working with us on getting the dates we needed for the 2008 season.

 

i didnt really see much of a class break down or anything on your site? are your events geared more toward street style cars ?

say a honda with fiberglass nose/doors/lexan/wheelie bar showed up.. say an 8 sec car

what class would it run ?

 

as long as a car passes tech it an run. Our classes are index caped with one bracket class. Our rules are simple with the index, no boxes, and no throttle stops. If someone brings out a 8.00 car we have a 8.60 class they can dial into, and at some point this year we may try a 8.00 class for a couple races.

All the tracks are in Illinois.
Come on I need some help, I get tired of being the lone ranger out there. There is literally a class for everyone.

Yeah, what Paulzy said. The furthest we were hoping to go this year was for Import Wars.

 

We run at GLD, Byron, and Cordova dragways

 

so far no interest up in those areas for this series, the tracks we go to came to us wanting us to run. If there is interests at other tracks we may consider.

 

i'd really love to run a few of them. i'll hopefully see you out there. i love byron, even though its 2.5 hours from me
