pretty much build the car, race a FULL season, and go from there. SC sponsorship is very difficult.

i would be SOOOO happy to get a sponsorship just to cover the cost of diesel getting to races, but i havnt been that lucky yet....and im on season number 4

It's much more than that.... I haven't even put together a package for myself, but I will in good time.

Joe, that little 7.3 is still drinking diesel fuel? I figured it'd be dead by now. lol

You are picking an industry that is recovering from several down falls. I am a sponsor of several teams and it mostly product that we supply.

I would suggest asking Chris Rado of World Racing ( you cant miss him, just ask around at the major events). He does a great job for his sponsors.

In a nutshell it has to be earned. Don't expect anything just from swinging your nuts around. Get out there and do what everyone else does and see where things go. It's not cheap or easy so plan on things being rough. A sponsor wants to put their name on a good car that will win and promote their product. Not some punk who is looking to score good parts for cheap and start from nowhere....

Its dedication, Time, effort, Packages

You want to be able to explain to a potential that them sponsoring you in turn will bring business back to them.

Sponsors are looking for cars that stand out and people love, they want people to identify their name on that car.. thats when they will begin to provide you with a full sponsorship.. VERY hard to come by..

Its not simple EVERYONE and their mother wants to be sponsored, you have to prove your different and "better" then the rest.. even then you could have a hard time picking someone up..

Also it really helps to get involved.. just showing up wont do you any good, you need to get your name out there so more people will know you by name..

Like its been said Rato does a killer job at what he does! haha

There are a ton more things to get into.. this is just a taste

Rota92's team had the d16z6 pushing 586whp best eta of 9.85 @ 142 mph...

He decided to move on to bigger and better things.. that motor can only handle so much abuse.. so we decided to go for 2 cams

Getting sponsored is more than just time slips, how much money you spent in the car, or how many events you go go.

Main thing is the Return on Investment for that sponsor. For every $1 they give you, I would feel a good partnership is if you can give them $10 or more in return for their help.

I think a shop/company is easier to sponsor since they have the means to SELL the product and promote it. An individual is harder to get sponsors since all they rely on is exposure on the car. Both have their strong points, but its all depending on what the sponsor is looking for in that partnership.
