Any racers here go to SCEDA race at Fontana last weekend? Check it out on SPEED SCENE LIVE TV.
Got video from the SCEDA race at Fontana. A great place to bring a sport compact car for some fun.
Anybody here go? We have coverage tonight.

how does someone find out which events at Fontana we can race at...
i'd hate to just show up and then be told that "no imports allowed"...
i see a lot of events at Fontana but i'm not sure if i can run in them or not?
do you have any insight?

I do!
SCEDA, PSCA, and Summit ET series are no problem for sport compact cars.
NHRA national open, divisional, not an event that you would be welcomed at.
Of course, you already know that street legals are cool if you have tags, and mufflers,
If you need more info, just tune in to the Speed Scene Live TV show, we always wrap up the show by telling racers where to go to race.

Okay, heres how it works. You need to enter the race that is going on. Test and tune is not what you want to be. Sure, I know you want to test and tune, but the way to do it is.....
Enter the race first. Then you get a couple of time trials. Then you put a dial on your car and you get to enter eliminations.
If you win first round, then you get to keep coming back until you lose, or win the entire event.
If you lose first round, you got three passes down a well prepped track. Three is still a good deal.
If you are not used to bracket racing and you want to try and win first round, try this.
lets say your car runs 14 seconds in the quarter mile. Put a 15 second dial on your car, (this is known as sandbagging) When you get to the 1000 foot mark you need to find your opponent and if you are in front of them, hit the brakes and slow down. If you are side by side, slow down right at the finish line and let them cross it first.
Some racers might not like this form of racing, but if you are not a good bracket racer, or if you have an inconsistant car, it can help.
