5th Gen Prelude Immobiliser Query
Hey guys - long time lurker, first time poster. There's alot of knowledge floating round so hoping seomone can help out...
Bought another Prelude (1997 5th gen this time) but only received one key for it (with a grey plastic handle). I have heard nasty rumours that if I was to disconnect the battery, upon reconnection I would require a key that was not supplied to overcome the immobiliser.
Anyone heard of this quirk..? Will I have to go to a Honda dealer to get a replacement key made?
Many thanks to all who can help

Ah! Praise Jebus.
Thanks very much man, I had a hunch I needed something like that.
Problem solved. Now I just need 2 butter knives to get the damn radio out

The gray key is just the valet key. To program more keys you need a red key. This might help you https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2030462
