dented door
ok so i had to change my oil and i had a discount thing a jiffylube and the price would equal out to be the same if i did it so i was lazy and let jiffylube do it. after they pulled it out of the garage i saw a dent like 8 inches wide and 2 inches tall right under the door handle. they didnt admit to anything! no wonder.
and ideas about getting it fixed. should i pay for it or like take off the door panel and use a rubber mallet to hit it out or somethin?

you should be more concerned about how deep the dent is. last year my neighbor backed into my driver side door and when i got it estimated they said 700. apparently the door was dented deep enough where the metal was stretched and if that's also the case for you, from what i recollect, they have to heat treat the metal first and pop it out to get it to sit properly. otherwise, when you pop the dent out, the stretched metal will stick outwards rather than inwards and you'll have an inverse dent. i would go try using some old tricks like rubbing dry ice or the hair dryer and air duster trick. but ppl usually use these methods for smaller dents. never hurts to try though. good luck. i feel your pain.. i still haven't fixed mine yet.
