Default Two 12" Type E's Sealed or One 12" Type R Sealed or Ported?

I have two 12" Alpine Type E's I was planning on putting in my CRX but lately Ive been thinking about how much space I will lose in the back of my Rex when I put them in. So would it be worth it to start over with One 12" Alpine Type R instead? Obviously I need to make the decision when it comes to buying the sub but what about the difference in bass? How much better will a type R sound than two E's assuming I use the Alipne MRP-M650(good for both?) amp to power both setups? Also, if i do go with the type R should I get a sealed or ported box? Thanks

Specifications:

12" Type E:
Power Handling
Power Handling Capacity (RMS): 250W
Power Handling Capacity (Peak): 750W

12" Type R:
Power Handling
Power Handling Capacity (RMS): 500W
Power Handling Capacity (Peak): 1500W

MRP-M650:
CEA-2006 Power Rating
CEA-2006 Power Rating (40hm@14.4V = 1%THD+N), S/N 65dBA (Ref. 1W into 4Ohm): 400W x 1

RMS Power (at 14.4V THD+N, 20Hz-20kHz)
Per channel into 4 ohms: 400W x 1 (0.08% THD)
Per channel into 2 ohms: 600W x 1

quality over quantity. the type r is a better woofer, and have been known to put out plenty of volume. if your worried about space a sealed enclosure will probably take up the least.

The single Type R will outperform the two Type Es, if you switch, make sure you get the SWR-1242D, [DVC 4 ohm] so you can wire it to a 2 ohm load. 94

the box type all depends on the type of car you have. for a sealed trunk i would probably choose a sealed or ported box. for an open trunk like a hatch i would have to say stick with vented. but be sure that when u choose the box is designed to the sub manufacturers specifications
