looking for hf or dx fifth gear
i have a 91 honda civic si and i`m looking to replace my fifth gear with one that`s a little more highway friendly. i suppose the hf and dx civics have those. i could also use a rebuild kit as well. thank you

You will experience a drop in RPM but, also keep in mind that the HF was designed to use a really long final drive to go with that 5th gear set...so the RPM difference by swapping out the 5th gears will not be mind blowing.
Anything helps...Although I wouldn't go the distance to save a just a few pennies at the pump.
You should be able to source a used trans to get your parts from. Most of the parts from Honda are very limited as this trans is close to being 20 years old.

- You can put as many picture in that post as possible or as many as the post will allow.
-No comments about others peoples threads.
