Formally known as the World Ford Challenge. It's now the World Street Challenge.

The World Street Challenge, the biggest, baddest, AND RICHEST $150,000 drag racing event, Auto & Bike Show, Drifting & Hot Body Contest in the US. Coming to St. Louis, May 15th - 18th, 2008 at Gateway.

I cant believe the rules for Wild Street. Any configuration alowed as long as it completes a 30 mille cruse? Lol

I would love to see the pro mods try to run this class.

Anyone notice the Outlaw Drag Radial class ? 275/15 tire ! That's ridiculous !

Well...if I am correct the track is in IL but it is considered the St. Louis Drag Strip. The track is off the very last exit on I70 in IL. Right across the bridge from St. Louis, MO.

Gateway is basically in St.Louis but on the Illinois side.

The one thing about that class is that they allow tire changing after the 30 mile cruise....but the tires you race with can't extend pass the fenders. I wonder if FWD can get an exception to this rule. 2400lbs with driver.....I need to lose about 150-200lbs to make that weight.

So this is a V8 drag race, or open to any imports with power adder with diffrent classes.

Finally got an email back. No slicks for FWD cars. They are tech'n...NHRA. If cage is required, must be certified, window net, master cut off...the whole deal. They are going to make a rule change to allow FWD tires to extend out of the fender well...doesn't help much though since we can't run slicks.

thats sucks we cant used slicks, but MUSCLE guys can for street class. Ill try to use my drags again spin all the way down the track.
