So i have a 91 civic DX with a d15 block and a d16y8 head. It had a crx si tranny in it, but it blew on me today, so my question is. What other 5 spd trannys will fit in? Please help me!

Any 89-91 will go into it. If you use an 88, you will need to change to an 88 clutch disk.

So stick with an 89-91 trans

No more than a couple hundred bucks. I have seen them for as cheap as free online....seen some around 50-100 bucks.

Regardless of what you get. Consider the fact that it is around 20 years old. So it is probably in your best interest to go through the trans before installing it.

ya, ill prolly sell it after i pull it....

im just gonna get another tranny, keep it for temporary use, for a few months, until i can get a better one that can handle more power...i have a feeling these trannys dont hold up the greatest, from what ive been reading.
