Buying a new honda motorcycle
I'm looking into travelling to the US and driving home to Ireland a new Honda motorcycle. Can this be done? Or ordering a new Honda motorcycle from the US and getting the dealer to ship it to Dublin Ireland. Can this be done?

I think any advantage gained by using the Euro to dollar exchange rate would be negated by shipping costs and any potential import taxes you would have to pay once the bike gets to Ireland.

That has more to do with your local regulations than it does with us in America. we will sell anything to anyone... unless you **** us off
eg al qaeda or Hussein

i would think it would be easier and maybe cheaper to find an import/export company. or contact a dealership near you to see if its possible to special order one from japan or where ever they are made.
To get around the "new" part I think you can drive a brand new Honda around a while in the US, like on vacation for a few weeks, *then* have it shipped back. So its used, and any extra expense related to importing new are avoided. At least, BMW USA does this with their buy in Germany program for US car buyers. And it saves quite a bit of expense. Enough to pay for a nice vacation anyway. Not sure how you could go about checking on your local laws.
