Will A WRX Muffler Work on 91 CRX
Someone had a WRX exhaust system laying around that recently aquired. I was wondering if anyone has tried this muffler on the crx. It is quite big compared to what is on the car now. Any input would be greatful.

I fugured it would be worth a try. I my uncle can do some things with a welding machine. The concern I have it fitting. The car been lowered 2 inches. I guess I will see what happens when I go home on leave this upcoming weekend.
may i ask why? the amount of time in getting it to work and look okay (if you can make it look decent, which i doubt) wont be worth the end result. Just buy a universal muffler and have some piping ran. a lot easier, will look better, proably sound better, and just be a lot more of an "un-rigged" approach.
your car, do whatever floats ur boat.

This is the reason I am asking here about what you guys think. And I wasn't sure what kind of sound I would get out of it. I don't like the sound of the exhaust on there now. It sounds like a pissed off weed eater when the vtec kicks in.
Well the sound is going to depend on what muffler it is....Is it an OEM one?? What year??
Also remember that the WRX exhaust systems are setup totally different from a CRX...so fitment will probably be an issue.

Will it look good if there is not enough clearance and how low will it hang to the ground...also how much butchering will it take?
Is it worth butchering? Or is it better to go out and buy a quality exhaust system that fits this application properly and provides the sound desired by the OP. Check on You-Tube...there are lots of sound clips on there. I used that when buying an exhaust for my WRX. Its useful!!

Well after looking at the muffler and the car I won't beable to make it work. The muffler is to big and the car is to low to the ground. Thanks for all the input.
