hi everyone so i purchased an 01 s2000 my question is can the new year tailights and headlights fit? if so any modification needed? also what other parts can i swap over that would make my car a little better thanks for any info

 

yes! im the first to post and it will be etched in stone. AP1 everything looks better! leave the AP1 look! And anyone who disagrees is by descending order beneath me and is invalid! muhahahaha.

ok so to answer your question...headlights fit but i think the ballest or something is mounted different on the headlight. The tail lights require you to cutout a third hole to compensate for the 3 hole application of the light. AP1 = 2 holes, Ap2 = 3 holes.

well switching any ap2 stuff to your ap1 isnt going to make it better. if you want those cheap ebay looking lights on your car then go for it.

if you must know you can also buy the ap2 bumpers and rims, your decision

 

I have an AP2 and personaly I like the AP1 lights & bumpers a little better, but the performance on the AP2 just lets me know I rock.

I think you got it backwards. The AP1 performance is much better while the AP2 lights and bumpers look a ton better.

what performance are you talking about? the 9 lb-ft?

 

If you want the 04 and up front yourn going to need the AP2 headlights with the AP2 ballests cause the AP1 ballest wont mount up to the AP2 headlights. The front bumper fits perfect too but your going to have to trim the corners off of your bumper support so they dont poke through the 04 bumper. The rear bumper fits fine too but I think you have to get extra brackets to clip it to the original ones cause it hangs a lil lower than the AP1. Tailights work too but you need to modifiy your harnesses so you can plug them in. There are a tom of DIY's on this on S2Ki.com so go search.

But honestly I dont know why you would want to do all that. If you liek the AP2 better you should have puchased it instead of the AP1.

 

Only thing I like about the ap2 over ap1 is the ap2v1 has better wheels.

I like the AP2 V2 rims I seen them on a Black AP1 and it blew me away. And its good that most pple dont like them. I can rock them and be different and if someon dosent liek it they can pretty much suck it easy. Exept S2Killa cause hes the man.

ap1, I test droe both and Ill say the ap2 felt more stable stock vs stock but if you know how to drive the ap1 is a much more fun car to drive!

you are the only person that ive heard to say that they loved there plastic window... tell me that again when it begins to fade/crack/turns yellow

 

its already fading. by the time it turns yellow and cracks, im hoping to put replacement glass in there if its possible

totally agree - except that little arrow thing is pointing the wrong way.
