Well, i was wondering which one would look better, im still looking foward in getting an OEM one, but i dunno how much it's worth, if it's worth more than the other lip kits, i 'm not gonna get it. any one know the price of the oem lip for eg6? (new & used)

 

i like the mugen wwrs lip personally... take a look at that

 

Brand new oem si/ex/sir from http://www.jdmland.com is $80.00 i think, somewhere around there. Another $27.00 for hardware.

you dont need hardware.. its a waste. woodscrews. i got my lip from a junkyard for 10.00.. another 3.00 for 10 screws. havent had a problem sense.. oh and attach from the bottom side!

 

Depends on how low is your car... OEM almost no problems... Spoon will run closer to the floor.. I hope you don't have a BITCH driveway

everyone has different opinions so no hard feelings.

 

I think the stock ones are a little to thin and i like the kind that go into the grill like the type r types.

 

The Backyard Special EG6 front lip is my favorite, except the FRP version, but as far as price goes it's my least favorite.

for SiR II and Mugen lips.

 

I say go for the OEM lip. They came standard on EX coupes, but I've seen completely stock VX's and DX coupes with them on too. Find someone who is completely clueless about cars (you'll spot them by their completely unmodified commuter Civic) and ask them if you can take that useless piece of plastic off their front bumper for a few bucks.

I was cruising around with my buddy in his EG and we saw someone standing next to their car, so we got out, offered them 10 bucks, they counter-offered with $15, and about two minutes and a few screws later, we had a clean OEM lip

If you like the look of the other ones that's a different story...but the EX lip here is the same thing as the SiR lip. The cheapest I've seen EG6 lips go for is $50--and I see a dozen OEM lips every day on California roads.

 

I would just get OEM, looks clean! But then again that Backyard Special doesn't look bad either.

except BYS lip is like 20X the price haha. but yeah same for me. either OEM or BYS.

wish we knew what u were talkin about the only thing i can think off like that is the underside of the b series spark plug cover

My vote goes for the stock VX/EX/Si lip

(VXs came with this lip and the cool rear underbody diffuser as well)
