I have 2 K24a1 short blocks. One still together, the other has been disassembled. Being sold by a Honda technician and 2 year employee. They were both pulled due to over-heating (radiators.) They have been pressure tested at a local machine shop and no problems were found.

Damn, thought there was a B20 in here but it's all K Series ones. O well, free bump for you!

 

so were the heads damaged in the overheating?

 

I'm pretty sure one of the heads warped. But the other was not harmed at all. One of the blocks was taken apart fully to have the sleeves and coolant passages checked out because of the extreme heat. But both blocks are in okay working order.

Were you looking for heads also?
