Default Oil burning around vtec

I have a 98 prelude 5 speed non SH. I have been replacing my oil every 3500 miles with 10W30 Mobile one synthetic and a fram oil filter. For about a year now the car has been burning about a 1/2 quart of oil every week. I looked underneath today, doubled up my oil plug rings, checked around oil pan, no leaks, checked around oil filter, no leaks. This is what I noticed underneath the vtec solonoid and some hoses underneath the sonlonoid, I also checked my plugs and no oil leaking in their. My valve cover has no leaks around it, nice a silver, this seems to be the only spot that I can tell. Any sugesstions?

Thanks any advice in what I should do would help. If I go to a mechanic or do it myself what actions should I take?

Thanks again guys,
-Logan

Any carbon build up on the exhuast muffler and the rear bumper. Vtec burns oil, but 1/2 quart a week. Thats a little more than Vtec should burn unless your driving around in Vtec all day

Looks like you do have a couple of oil leaks, nothing that would account for 1/2 qt a week though. Im assuming that it does not leave any puddles on the ground? Does it give a puff of smoke when you first start it in the morning? When hitting Vtec, do you see anything out of the mirror?

I hit vtec maybe once a month and I never hit redline. I do have some black around my exhaust but not on the bumper. I do not see any discolored smoke but I will check tomorrow.
