Default Worth It?

Looking at purchasing a bike. This will be my first bike. I have taken the msc, I have my license, and all my gear. Done all my research and have been preparing to buy a bike since July. Now it's time for a bike. It's a 2002 Honda Cbr 600 F4i. Red/Blk Completely stock. No flush mount signals, no license plate re-locater, completely stock. It has 4900 miles and 2 owners. Just small blemishes where debris has hit it while riding. Never been dropped, and no damage. Clear blue title in hand. He was asking $5000, and I talked him down to $4500. Worth it?

Thanks
Chris

That's good price if its really clean stock
How abour the tires?chain?is the motor runs good no tic or knock on the right side of the bike? If all of that is been check u should go for it
but if u search some more u can find a better deal than that like o3 n up 600rr,gsxr6,or r6 for about 3500-4000
Not stock probably been down

Good luck

I'm going to probably pick it up and take it to a local Honda dealership for a pre-owned inspection. I like the 600rr, but this is going to be a form of transportation (rough roads, 30-40 mile trip to school, ect.) and I have heard the 600rr have a tighter suspension more for the track which amounts to a rougher ride on public streets. Also I have heard insurance is gets pricey on a rr.

dude, insurance is dirt cheap for liability on a bike

I pay $172 a year for my ducati and kawasaki together......it is dirt cheap.

4500 for a clean f4i is the standard going rate. good price for a solid bike.

watch that throttle hand. some people think the f4i is a perfect starter, but it's got a good amount of power, especially above 9000 rpm.
