Default Fall Nationals at E Town 2008

I just got a Feature Events flyer from Raceway Park for 2008.

They list NOPI Spring Nats and NOPI Nats in Augest but they also
list "10th Annual Sport Compact Fallnationals" on Oct. 11th and 12th,
no word of NOPI on this one..

Is E Town putting on it's own race

wow that does seems odd, but then again that event always had full stands.

maybe taking the place of ISS?

I don't think its odd at all, The fall nationals havent always been held under NHRA sanction. My guess is Englishtown promotions figure they can hold a great event without the associated help of a sanctioning body.

I know we will shop up and FULLY SUPPORT Raceway Park for Fall Nationals with or without a national sanction. Does not matter we just want to race and try to put on whatever kind of show we can. Who cares. Comes through the gate and race!!!!!

You sure about that if im not mistaken the fall nats only came along when NHRA first started. The spring race was always there under the NIRA days but no fall race

Summer Slam started off with a sanctioning body from what i remember.

the last few have been promoted by E-town staff and has always turned out to be a decent event.

hopefully Fall Nationals gets the same support.

even if they didn't have many of the pro's come through the racers ticket have always sold out or come close to selling out.

With or without the pro's etown will always have the support of bracket racers.

Yes back in the day Summer Slam was a NIRA sanctioned event. Then I believe it might have even been a IDRC race for one year then might have gained the Import and Lowrider Magazine as the title sponsor??? Regardless like has been said earlier, they will ALWAYS sell 400 racer tech cards and get people in the stands

yeah, i didnt get one yet either, might be because i'm farther south and it just hasnt got to me yet.

and if they are hosting an event that weekend (fall nats), i'm going to have to pass. This is the first year since NHRA came back to Virginia Motorsports Park that we don't have a points race. Gotta head over there to spectate.

We'll be at Summer Slam though. 18 events for this coming year (obviously dependant on rules)

I am only about an hour away from E-town and havent received any flyer either.
They are promoting a date without the schedule even being released yet?
Oh well, I will roll to E-town for any event. . .

summer slam was always an idrc event until 2004 when it was just a raceway park sport compact event. considering its a non sanctioned event with limited pro presence and on a holiday weekend its still a good event thanks to the amount of sportsman racers in this area.

i will say this event is different. while im sure many people (myself included) will still come out i think it deserves better. unlike summer slam it doesnt look like this event is sandwiched immediately by events the week before and after. hopefully they will offer the pros and the racers from PR something to come out for.

I picked the sheet up while at the Motorsports show in Atlantic City, guess they
havn't been mailed out yet..

E Town always makes it worth your while at Summer Slam, BIG payouts draw
alot of people. I'm sure they will do the same for Fall Nats. I wasn't looking
forward to parking the car at the end of Aug. anyway!

I'd guess they would go with NOPI/NHRA rules... hate to get left out if I run Power Street next year..

I think they will have similar ISS dates as previous years since they didnt want to touch that schedule.
