Pr3 pistons in all stock gsr
hey im getting a gsr block with pr3 pistons and i was wondering if i have to get it tuned, or change any other parts like...valvetrain or something...or if it puts too much strain on the engine. The CR will go up to like 11.5:1 won't it ? hoping for it to be a DD too...
Thanks ahead of time guys.

Stock GSR timing on a 11.5 CR motor is not advised. Get it tuned. Also, upgrading to at least stage 1 cams will make your ride very pleasant.
what do u mean pleasant...if i don't get stage 1 cams will the the car start jerking like crazy or what? i just wanna get my gsr running...:[ and where do i get at tune? just find a shop? or can it be a DIY kinda thing...sorry im kinda newb.

Let me re-state this, upgrading to a stage 1 or better cam will make driving even more fun.
As for tuning, I'm not that familiar with the nor-cali tuners but I don't recommend you do it yourself. Check around, I'm sure you can find someone.

My dd gsr had pr3 pistons w/ itr cams/b16 trans and it was a very fun street set-up. I would recommend not using the stock P73 map and finding a reputable tuner in your area to tune your set-up. Good luck and have fun
