I Don't Know whats going on!! HELP
Ok i just got my EGR valve for my 97 civic HX (D16Y5). The reason i got it is because it was throwing a code and it was the egr valve was bad. So when i got my egr i installed it put the new gasket, and then took it for a test drive and everything seem fine. But when i was cruising at 40-45mph at hour gear it started to jerk a little, they were short but continues and it sounded like it was miss firing ( it sounded like a wrx/sti) also it did it when my egr was bad. The only way that will stop was if i shift into fifth gear. Is this suppose to happen??? because no check engine light came up.

It's not supposed to happen, there's 1001 things it could be, and you're not giving us a lot to go on.
Things to check:
- Distributor rotor and cap
- Plug wires
- Spark plugs
- Fuel pressure - both at idle and revving (static, d/c the vacuum line from the FPR)
See where you are from there. If it sounds like an STI and it's jerking you may be losing fuel or not firing all the time on one cylinder.

when i was driving to my cousins house my check engine light came on and so i check out the codes today and its po303, 304 (cylinder 3 and 4 misfire) and 1300 (random misfire) so far when i got the car i only change the plugs and rotor, when i change the cap, and wires now?? or are there other things causing this misfire.
There weird thing is that it took over a hour for the check engine light to come on even when the car was running funny
